Description: Through the Night was held May 11-September 11, 2002 at the Blanden Art Museum. It included an art installation, walk and run, and community remembrance. Remembrances from the community were gathered at the Museum. Letters, poems, artistic expression of the events of 9.11.01 were solicited and collected. All remembrances were put into two silos representing the Twin Towers on the Blanden’s lawn. At the conclusion of “Through the Night,” a ceremony was held to burn the compiled remembrances symbolizing the release of sorrow and capacity to heal.
