The Grain Silo Mural Will Continue

October 31, 2018

The Fort Dodge Public Art Coalition is delighted to see the building excitement surrounding the Silo mural – the project is gaining the attention of many folks from throughout the state!  Guido van Helten has often been seen painting well in to the evenings, making progress on his 110’ mural.  We encourage the public to continue to visit the site – viewing the installation process from Loomis Park, Amigos Bar & Restaurant or from the surrounding sidewalks and trails.  We also encourage you to view more of the artist’s work at www.guidovanhelten.com or on his Instagram and Facebook pages (@guidovanhelten).

From late-October to mid-November, the artist will take a break away from the Fort Dodge area, but work is expected to continue the third week of November until the mural is complete.  This interval provides the Coalition time to organize further opportunities for the public to get to know the project and learn more about Mr. van Helten’s work.  Stay tuned via the ‘News’ section of our website www.fortdodgepublicart.org or the Facebook page ‘Fort Dodge Public Art’!
